EPS performs air dispersion modeling studies in support of our air quality practice. EPS is proficient in all major EPA- approved models. Our consultants perform complex dispersion modeling analyses in support of air permit applications, including Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permit applications, which require compliance demonstrations for National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), PSD increments, and Class I areas. EPS also conducts air toxics impact assessments using modeling tools to demonstrate compliance with state air toxics guidelines.

To address NAAQS regulatory developments including 1-hr NOx and SO2 standards and changing modeling guidance (e.g., for PM2.5), EPS participates in U.S. EPA modeling conferences and workshops to ensure we are providing our clients with the best available approaches for demonstrating compliance. We also work collaboratively
with regulatory agencies to support approval of our modeling protocols
and to expedite review of our modeling studies.
